Youth of Today

Classic band from the 80s. Ignited the whole Youthcrew period. Bit faster then most youthcrew and a voice which totally rips; "Make a chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaange". BDTW is a classic, but the other album is just as good.

Break Down The Walls
We're Not In This Alone

MK-Ultra

90s thrashy hardcore punk. Bit crappy recordings, but still more then enjoyable.

Zann

Zann is a chaotic hardcore band with screamo influences from Germany founded in 1999. They sprang out of the late 90s hardcore scene in eastern Germany. For the kids by the kids is their Discography cd and includes all vinyl releases until 2004 and the demotape. Three years in the desert is their Brutal bleak Hardcore with Screamo influenced full-length released in 2006.

Army of Flying Robots

AoFR was an UK hardcore band. Their brand of screamo is very harsh and chaotic. Just imagine screamo mix up with Phoenix Bodies and Combatwoundedveteran.

Discography

Eurich

And yet another 90s emo band with a life span less then 5 years. I don't know why, but I like the instrumental song(Bored) the most.

Discography

Merel

90s harcore emo. Fast stuff, with more hardcore-influences then a lot of their peers had.

Plunger

90s emo. They were around for just a small amount of years, but left us with these songs to listen to.

Hour of the Star

90s emo. This band had really great lyrics, "I would rather be ashes than dust" is stuck in my head forever. Just 4 songs (including a intro) which sucks, because I really would want to hear more.

Hour of the Star

Chokehold

90s Metalcore. Instead of the hardline message of other vegan sXe bands like Earth Crisis, this band was pro-choice. It featured the mighty Chris Colohan.

Negative FX / Last Rights

Negative FX was an 80s hardcorepunk band from Boston, featuring Choke who would later on be in a famous hardcore band called Slapshot. Many have overlooked this band, but this stuff is good. Songtitles are mixed up, sorry.

Government War Plans
Negative FX

Last Rights was also a 80s hardcorepunk band, featuring Negative FX members. I don't think Choke was in this band though. Dinosaur Jr. covered their song Chunks.

Eat Skull

Eat Skull are a quartet hailing from Portland, Oregon and runs a post pattern deep beyond pop and punk. Their sound is a mix between lo-fi, punk and noise. (Hands down) Wild and Inside is definitely one of the best albums of 2009.

Vegan sXe Metalcore. For fans of the 90s scene (Kindred, Culture, Chokehold etc).

Acme

German 90s Metalcore (or Newschool Hardcore). This is sadly all of their songs they've released. I wish more bands would sound this way: less chugga chugga if you know what I mean. More focus on 'being intense' then 'being heavy'.
